AccuWeather

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for connecting AccuWeather API to Unistream.

Prerequisites

You will need:

  • An AccuWeather account (free or paid plan)

  • AccuWeather API Key

  • Location(s) you want to track weather data for

  • Unistream platform credentials


Step 1: Get Your AccuWeather API Key

Before connecting to Unistream, you need to obtain an API key from AccuWeather.

1.1 Create an AccuWeather Developer Account

  1. Click Register to create a new account

  2. Fill in your details and complete the registration

  3. Verify your email address

1.2 Create an App and Get API Key

  1. Go to Subscriptions & Keys

  2. Copy and save your API Key securely

Step 3: Connect to Unistream

3.1 Add AccuWeather Source

  1. In Unistream, navigate to Lake

  2. Click Add Source

  3. Select AccuWeather

3.2 Configure General Fields

Fill in the General Fields:

  • Name: Enter a descriptive name for your connection (e.g., "Weather Data - AccuWeather")

  • Code: Enter a unique code identifier (e.g., "weather_accu")

3.3 Configure Connection Details

Fill in the Connection Details:

  • API Key: Paste your AccuWeather API Key from Step 1.2

3.4 Add Locations

Configure the locations you want to track:

  1. Click + Add Location

  2. Enter a location using one of the supported formats:

    • City name: Paris

    • City with country: Paris, France

    • Coordinates: 48.8566,2.3522

    • Postal code: 75001

  3. Click Add or Save to add the location

  4. Repeat to add more locations

3.5 Test and Save

  1. Click Test Connection to verify the connection is working

  2. If the connection is successful, you'll see a success message

  3. Click Add to save your connection
