NBG Exchange

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for connecting National Bank of Georgia (NBG) Exchange Rate data to Unistream.

Prerequisites

You will need:

  • Unistream platform credentials

Step 1: Connect to Unistream

1.1 Add NBG Exchange Rate Source

  1. In Unistream, navigate to Lake

  2. Click Add Source

  3. Select NBG Exchange Rate

1.2 Configure General Fields

Fill in the General Fields:

  • Name: Enter a descriptive name for your connection (e.g., "NBG Exchange Rates")

  • Code: Enter a unique code identifier (e.g., "nbg_rates")

1.3 Configure Connection Details

Fill in the Connection Details:

Language

Select the language for currency names and descriptions:

  • Georgian: Currency names in Georgian language (ქართული)

  • English: Currency names in English

Note: The exchange rates themselves are numerical and identical across all languages. This only affects the currency name labels.

Initial Date

Choose the starting date for historical data synchronization:

  • Format: mm/dd/yyyy

  • Valid Range: Between 2016-01-01 and today

  • Example: 01/01/2024 (January 1, 2024)

Sync Days

Specify how many days of data to retrieve per sync operation:

  • Valid Range: Between 1 and 367 days

  • Default: 1 day

  • Recommended: 1-30 days for regular updates, 367 for initial historical load

1.4 Test and Save

  1. Click Test Connection to verify the connection is working

  2. If the connection is successful, you'll see a success message

  3. Click Add to save your connection
